Privacy policy

Rounaq Enterprises trades aluminium scrap, aluminium ingots and other non-ferrous metals from Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra. For the personal data described here we are the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how it is used.

We collect as little as we can. This website has no accounts, no sign-up and no payments.

• Enquiries. When you use the enquiry form, WhatsApp, a phone call or email, we receive what you choose to send: your name and, if you add them, your company, the material, the quantity and your message. WhatsApp also shows us your phone number and profile name; email shows us your email address.
• Trade records. If you go on to buy from or sell to us, we keep the details that tax and trade law require on invoices, weighment slips, transport papers and payment records. Depending on the deal these can include your name, business name, address, phone number, GSTIN, PAN, bank account details and vehicle number.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider’s servers process your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that they can deliver this site and keep it secure.
• Choices kept on your device. If you switch the theme, your browser remembers that choice. It never leaves your device; see the cookie policy.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or any tool that builds a profile of you. We ask for bank details only to make or receive a payment; please do not send card numbers, passwords or health information in an enquiry.

The form on our contact page has no server behind it. It builds your message in your browser and opens WhatsApp with the message filled in; if WhatsApp does not open, it offers the same message by email. This website never receives or stores what you type, and nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp or your email app.

Before it continues, the form asks you to agree to our using your details to reply to your enquiry. That agreement is added to the end of your message, so both of us have a record of it.

• To reply to your enquiry, quote a price and follow it up. You send us these details for that purpose, and the form asks for your consent.
• To buy, sell, weigh, dispatch and invoice a lot you agree with us.
• To keep the accounts and records that tax and other laws require, and to answer lawful requests from the authorities.
• To keep this website working and secure.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We will not add you to promotional messages unless you ask us to. If we want to use your data for a new purpose, we will ask you first.

We share personal data only as far as the purposes above need:

• WhatsApp (Meta) and Google (Gmail) carry our messages and store them under their own privacy policies.
• Our hosting provider, for the technical data above.
• Transporters and banks, for the details a delivery or a payment needs.
• Professional advisers, such as our chartered accountant, and the tax authorities through the GST system.
• Government bodies, courts or the police, where the law requires it.
• Google, only if you choose to show the map on our contact page.

Enquiries and records are kept on our own devices and in our WhatsApp and email accounts. WhatsApp, Google and our hosting provider may store data on servers outside India. Indian law allows this except to countries the Government of India restricts, and we will follow any such restriction.

• Enquiries that do not lead to a trade: one year from our last message with you, then deleted. One year is the minimum the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 set for keeping personal data and the logs of its processing.
• Trade records: as long as tax and accounting laws require. Under GST law that is at least 72 months from the due date of the annual return for the year the record belongs to.

Deleting a chat or an email on our side does not delete the copy you hold, or copies WhatsApp or Google keep under their own policies.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, what we do with it and whom we have shared it with;
• correct, complete or update it;
• erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it (trade records, for example);
• stop using it by withdrawing your consent. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it: send us a message. It does not undo what we did before, and we then stop using your data for that purpose;
• let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
• resolve a complaint, as described below.

This website stores no personal data. The devices and accounts that hold enquiries and records are used only by people who need them for the purposes above, and we take reasonable security measures to protect them. If a breach puts your personal data at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

This site and our business are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

We resolve complaints within one month of receiving them. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
